1. Who we are
We are Smart Property Software LTD, a company registered in England and Wales. For all data protection enquiries, please use the contact form on the Site.
2. What we collect
- Identity data — name and email address you provide for support, contact forms, beta signup, or optional account/referral support.
- Purchase data — Apple purchase metadata needed to maintain subscriptions, reward months, refunds, and customer support. Card details are handled by Apple and do not reach our servers.
- Licence and account data — StoreKit transaction identifiers, product IDs, app account tokens, subscription status, and referral metadata used for subscription/referral support.
- Support data — messages you send via the contact form or in-app feedback.
- Diagnostic data — limited app and device details you choose to send with support, crash, or beta reports. The Mac App Store build does not send live diagnostic telemetry to our admin dashboard.
- Beta testing data — for beta participants only, information needed to manage access and support during the beta programme.
3. What we don't collect
- Camera footage. Live frames, snapshots and recorded clips stay on your Mac and your local network. They do not reach our servers.
- Browsing history on the Site. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking tools.
- Location, contacts, calendar or other unrelated personal data from your device.
4. Legal bases
- Contract — to fulfil your purchase, deliver your licence and provide support.
- Legitimate interests — to operate, improve and secure the App and the Site, prevent fraud, and respond to support requests.
- Legal obligation — to keep tax and accounting records as required by HMRC.
5. Who we share with
- Apple — Mac App Store distribution, in-app purchases, subscriptions, renewals and refunds.
- Infrastructure providers — hosting and email services used to run the Site, support flow, and entitlement/referral records.
6. International transfers
Our servers are located in the European Union. Apple may process App Store purchase data under Apple's own privacy terms and international transfer safeguards.
7. How long we keep data
- App Store purchase/referral records — for as long as needed to maintain subscription access, referral rewards, fraud prevention and financial records.
- Contact form submissions — for up to 2 years from the date of last interaction.
- Crash logs and telemetry — for up to 90 days where collected. The Mac App Store build does not send live diagnostic telemetry to our admin dashboard.
- Beta testing records — for up to 90 days after the beta program ends.
8. Your rights
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Have your data erased (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Receive a portable copy of your data.
- Withdraw any consent you have given (where consent is the legal basis).
9. Right to complain
You have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we have mishandled your personal data. Their contact details are at ico.org.uk.
10. Children
The Site and App are not directed at, or intended for use by, anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
