Connect an Aqara camera
In the app, choose Aqara on the first setup screen.
Aqara cameras work through Apple Home for live view and alerts. To keep clips on your Mac, use the camera’s own RTSP stream.
Before you connect
- Aqara Home app → the camera → Settings (gear) → Advanced → RTSP. Switch it on. The app shows an address, a username and a password — copy all three.
- Reserve the camera’s IP address on your router.
- In Captured Motion pick Aqara, choose Use Apple Home if the camera is in your Home, and paste the RTSP address where asked.
What the app asks for
| RTSP address | Exactly as the Aqara app shows it; the port is usually 8554. |
|---|
If it does not connect
| No RTSP in Advanced | Not every Aqara camera publishes one (G2H, G3, G5 Pro and G100 do). Use Apple Home for those that do not. |
