Connect Ring

In the app, choose Ring on the first setup screen.
Ring has no local stream, so the app signs in to your Ring account and uses Ring’s own live view and motion events.

Before you connect

  1. In Captured Motion pick Ring and enter your Ring email and password.
  2. Ring sends a code to your phone or email; type it in when asked.
  3. Your cameras and doorbells appear; choose the ones you want on your Mac.

What the app asks for

Email / passwordYour Ring account.

If it does not connect

“Rate-limiting sign-in”Ring throttles repeated logins. Wait a minute and try once.
ClipsClips stay in the Ring app; Ring does not allow them to be saved elsewhere.
